The oil our journey began with. Mature coconuts from our own family farm — handpicked, sun-dried, and cold-pressed slowly using traditional chekku methods that retain every bit of the coconut's natural sweetness, aroma and nutrition. About 45% of the fat is lauric acid (a medium-chain triglyceride) — the same compound that gives coconut oil its naturally anti-microbial character and its tendency to solidify in cooler weather. Bottled the same day it's pressed.
